Offered only in the Luxury trim, the 2025 TX 550h+ gets its zest from a plug-in hybrid powertrain made up of a 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with three electric motors. The combined output is 404 horsepower, and it’s channeled through an electronic continuously variable transmission (eCVT) with paddle shifters. As mentioned in the intro, all-wheel drive is a standard feature on this model. The DIRECT4 AWD system continuously manages the optimal torque distribution between the front and rear axles.
Lexus estimates that the TX 550h+ can travel up to 33 miles using electric power alone. The EPA-estimated combined fuel economy under hybrid operation is 29 mpg. Towing capacity is rated at 5,000 pounds when the vehicle is properly equipped. The TX 550h+ comes standard with a 120-volt charging cable and a J1772 charging port.
