Lexus offers the 2025 NX PHEV (a.k.a. the NX 450h+) in two trim levels: base and F Sport Handling. Both feature an advanced gas-electric system that combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor; this pairing produces a combined system output of 304 horsepower. An electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT) manages power for the standard all-wheel-drive system.
The model’s all-electric range reaches 37 miles when it’s fully charged, and its fuel economy is the equivalent of 84 MPGe (miles per gallon of gasoline equivalent). Those with towing requirements will appreciate the ’24 NX PHEV’s ability to pull up to 2,000 pounds when it’s properly equipped.
The base trim of the 2025 NX PHEV is brimming with amenities such as perforated leather upholstery, power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, proximity keyless entry, triple beam LED headlights, heated auto-dimming side mirrors with reverse gear tilt-down, a moonroof, a heated leather-wrapped power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, and position memory for the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and side mirrors. Some of its other features of note are dual-zone automatic climate control, roof rails, a hands-free liftgate, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a digital rearview mirror, Thematic Ambient Illumination (Lexus’s unique ambient interior lighting system), a leather-wrapped shift knob, a 10-inch head-up display, a 7-inch multi-information display, push-button start, and elegant wood interior trim.
The performance-oriented F Sport Handling enhances the driving experience with front and rear lateral performance dampers, an adaptive variable suspension, and a selector with Sport S+ and Custom drive modes. It’s also distinguished by bolder exterior styling elements, NuLuxe synthetic-leather upholstery, sport-bolstered heated and ventilated front seats with power adjustments, a perforated heated and leather-wrapped power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, aluminum sport pedals, dark aluminum interior trim, a black headliner, and instrumentation with G-force and energy monitor displays. Optional features for the NX PHEV include Digital Key, wireless phone charging, and a panoramic glass roof.
All ‘25 NX PHEV trims receive the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of advanced driving aids. This comprehensive package groups all-speed dynamic radar cruise control with curve speed management, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection and intersection support, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, automatic high beams, and proactive driving assist. Both trims also have blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intuitive parking assist with automatic braking, and a digital latch with safe exit assist.
The 2025 NX PHEV also offers optional driving aids like Advanced Park with Remote Park (Lexus’s proprietary automatic parking system), front cross-traffic alert, lane change assist, and a panoramic view monitor.
The cutting-edge Lexus Interface infotainment system is found in every 2025 NX PHEV. Contained within a 14-inch touchscreen, this system features navigation, voice recognition, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, a 10-speaker audio system, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming. For those who want an enhanced listening experience, a 17-speaker Mark Levinson sound system is available.
