The 2025 LS lineup consists of the LS 500 and the LS 500 F Sport. Both editions use a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 engine producing 416 horsepower. A ten-speed automatic (with paddle shifters) transmission channels that power to either the standard rear-wheel drive (RWD) system or optional all-wheel drive (AWD). The RWD configuration has been rated by the EPA to achieve 18 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, while AWD versions return 17 mpg in town and 27 mpg on the open road.
The LS 500 is highly equipped with plenty of amenities for comfort and convenience, including a power moonroof, leather upholstery, 16-way power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel with paddle shifters, dual-zone automatic climate control, a hands-free power trunk, a head-up display, a power rear sunshade, and LED exterior lighting with adaptive headlights. Its other standard equipment includes proximity keyless entry, push-button start, a digital key, auto-dimming rearview and side mirrors, six USB ports, wireless device charging, and 19-inch noise-reducing alloy wheels. AWD versions also get a windshield wiper de-icer, headlamp washers, and upgraded interior heating (which can be added to the RWD-equipped LS 500).
Lexus offers some optional bundles to enhance the LS 500’s luxury appointments. One highlight is the Interior Upgrade Package, which adds semi-aniline leather with quilted stitching, 28-way power front seats with a massage function, heated rear seats, an Ultrasuede headliner, and premium wood trim. The Luxury Package builds on those features with power-reclining rear outboard seats, a rear touchscreen controller, power side-window sunshades, and an adaptive variable suspension.
The F Sport has plenty of standard features that enhance its performance and looks, including an adaptive variable suspension, upgraded brakes with larger ventilated discs, trim-specific exterior treatments, and 20-inch noise-reducing alloy wheels. Inside, it has perforated leather upholstery, 28-way power-adjustable front seats with enhanced bolsters, a heated wood-trimmed steering wheel, a passenger-seat power cushion extender, an Ultrasuede-trimmed headliner, performance-oriented instrumentation, and aluminum pedals and trim accents. Buyers of the rear-wheel drive F Sport can add the Dynamic Handling Package to get active rear steering and a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel with premium wood trim.
Both 2025 LS trims are set up with the Lexus Safety System 3.0, incorporating forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane tracing assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control, parking sensors with automatic braking, road sign assist, and automatic high beams. The F Sport adds a surround-view monitor, which is optional on the standard LS. Both trims receive a full array of airbags plus a rearview monitor, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, and Smart Stop technology (to minimize unintended acceleration).
The Lexus Interface infotainment system operates through a 12.3-inch touchscreen display in both trim levels. This platform includes a 12-speaker audio system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, Bluetooth connectivity, cloud-based navigation, Hey Lexus voice recognition, and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and connected services. A Mark Levinson sound system with 23 speakers is available.
