Trims and Powertrains
Lexus produces the RX Hybrid in five trim packages: 350h AWD, 350h Premium AWD, 350h Premium+ AWD, 350h Luxury AWD, and 500h F Sport Performance AWD. The 350h trims have a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and dual electric motors that all combine to create 246 horsepower. This gas-electric powerplant pairs with all-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The 500h combines a 2.4-liter turbo-four with electric motors to produce 366 horsepower; a six-speed automatic transmission completes the powertrain. Lexus estimates that the RX Hybrid returns 83 MPGe. The 350 achieves an estimated 37 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway, while the high-performing 500h returns about 27 city/28 highway.
Standard Features
The 350h AWD has heated front seats, NuLuxe interior trim, multi-zone climate control, a 7-inch driver-information display, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob, 40/20/40-split folding/reclining rear seats, a power tailgate, and rain-sensing windshield wipers, bi-LED headlamps and daytime running lights, LED fog lamps, heated outside mirrors with auto tilt-down in reverse, and 19-inch five-spoke Dark Gray Metallic machined alloy wheels. The available Technology Package adds wireless device charging, a digital key, a 10-inch color head-up display, and a digital rearview mirror.
The 350h Premium AWD supplies heated and ventilated front seats, a heated wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel, wireless device charging, a power tilt-and-slide moonroof, Lexus Memory System (driver’s seat, steering wheel, and outer mirrors), black open-pore and Ash Bamboo interior trim, and roof rails. Ambient lighting and perforated leather-trimmed interior are the upgrades for the 350h Premium+ AWD.
The 350h Luxury AWD adds a perforated semi-aniline leather-trimmed interior, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s and front passenger’s seat with 4-way lumbar, heated and ventilated 40/20/40-split power-folding/reclining rear outboard seats, a panoramic glass roof, and 21-inch 20-spoke Dark Premium Metallic alloy wheels. The 500h F Sport Performance AWD offers unique style with a trim-specific perforated leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob, scuff plates, aluminum pedals, front fender badges, a rear valance, color-keyed rocker panels, and a mesh grille insert. It’s punctuated with Dark Graphite aluminum trim and 21-inch 10-spoke matte-black alloy wheels.
Safety/Driver-Assist Technology
Every RX Hybrid comes with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of driver-assist technologies, which groups adaptive cruise control, forward collision avoidance, pedestrian detection, a rearview camera, intersection assist, lane departure alert, lane-keep assist, lane tracing assist, traffic sign recognition, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, and park assist. A 10-inch color head-up display is added to the 350h Luxury AWD and higher. The available Convenience Package (for the Premium and Luxury trims) adds a surround-view monitor, lane change assist, front cross-traffic alert, traffic jam assist, and advanced park assist.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The default Lexus Interface infotainment system in the two lowest trims of the 2024 RX Hybrid uses a 9.8-inch touchscreen and voice command to manage Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, cloud navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a sound system with a dozen speakers. At the 350h Premium+ AWD level, a 14-inch touchscreen display and upgraded sound system are substituted; those higher trims may also get the optional 1,800-watt, 21-speaker Mark Levinson surround-sound system.
