Trims and Powertrains

Buyers can choose from the base RC 300 or the more powerful RC 350. With the standard rear-wheel-drive (RWD) configuration, the RC 300 has a 241-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine controlled by an eight-speed automatic transmission. Adding all-wheel drive (AWD) upgrades the RC 300 to a 260-horsepower V6 and a six-speed automatic gearbox. The same engine is used in the RC 350, but it’s retuned to produce 311 horsepower; it’s paired with the eight-speed automatic. RWD is standard with the RC 350, but AWD is optional.

The fuel economy of the RWD-equipped RC 300 has been estimated by the EPA to be 21 mpg around town and 31 mpg on the open road. The ratings for the V6-equipped trims (the RC 300 AWD or RC 350) range from 19 to 20 mpg in the city to 26 to 28 mpg on the highway.

Standard Features

Driver-oriented equipment for the RC 300 and RC 350 starts with lateral performance dampers (RWD only), a selectable drive mode system (Eco, Normal, and Sport), a ten-way power driver’s seat, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and a color driver information display. The other standard equipment includes perforated NuLuxe leatherette upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power front passenger seat, proximity keyless entry, push-button ignition, real wood cabin trim, LED exterior lighting, dual USB ports, and 18-inch alloy wheels. When AWD is elected for the RC 300 and RC 350, those trims also get heated front seats. Among the RC’s options are a power moonroof, a heated steering wheel, and the Premium Package (a driver’s memory system, heated and ventilated front seats, and a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column).

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Every 2024 RC comes with Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, a driver-assist technology bundle that consists of a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection and intersection support, lane tracing assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, road sign assist, and automatic high beams. This model’s supplemental safety technology includes eight airbags, anti-lock brakes, vehicle stability control, traction control, SmartStop (to prevent unintended acceleration), and a rearview monitor.

Infotainment and Connectivity

All 2024 RCs have the Lexus Multimedia System with an 8-inch touchscreen and remote touchpad. This system’s technologies include Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a ten-speaker audio system. Lexus provides access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and connected services (for remote start, vehicle monitoring, and other features). A 10.3-inch touchscreen, navigation, and a 17-speaker Mark Levinson sound system are optional.
