Trims and Powertrain
The 2024 Lexus NX 450h+ comes in two versions: standard and F Sport Handling. They both get their vigor from a plug-in hybrid electric system consisting of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine teamed with dual electric motors – one per axle. The combined output is 304 horsepower. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) manages the standard all-wheel drive.
EPA-estimated combined fuel economy is 85 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) in electric drive mode, providing 37 miles of no-emissions range. The NX 450h+ is rated for 36 MPG (combined) as a hybrid. When it’s properly equipped, it can tow up to 2,000 pounds.
Standard Features
As the most loaded NX version, the NX 450h+ comes with a complete list of amenities that concentrate on comfort and convenience. That list starts with a power moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power rear door with a kick sensor, a heated steering wheel, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, adaptive Bi-LED headlamps (which turn in sync with the steering wheel), a head-up display, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, rain-sensing windshield wipers, open-pore wood interior accents, a 3.3-kW onboard charger, and 20-inch alloy wheels. The 450h+ passengers sit in pure comfort on perforated leather upholstery; the front seats are heated and ventilated. Both front seats are power-adjustable eight ways; the driver’s seat has four-way power lumbar adjustment and position memory.
The F Sport Handling edition of the NX 450h+ shows off enhanced driving dynamics and an even more athletic look. Some of its most noteworthy features include an adaptive variable suspension, front and rear performance dampers, special exterior treatments, aluminum door trim, and F Sport-themed upholstery and interior accents.
Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology
The Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard on both versions of the 450h+. The technologies in this important package are adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking (with pedestrian detection and intersection support), blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane tracing assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, road sign assist, safe exit assist, and automatic high beams. Lexus Intuitive Parking Assist with automatic braking also comes with the NX 450h+. A comprehensive set of airbags, anti-lock brakes, vehicle stability control, traction control, and a rearview monitor are found on all trims as well.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The NX 450h+ has a 14-inch multimedia touchscreen that’s used to control the cloud-based navigation, a voice-activated “Hey Lexus” virtual assistant, a ten-speaker audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth, and multiple USB ports. NX 450h+ buyers also get access to a Wi-Fi hotspot, Lexus connected services (for emergency help and vehicle monitoring), and the Lexus smartphone app (for remote start and other perks).
