Trim and Powertrain
Lexus offers the 2024 LS 500h as a singular loaded trim package. It’s served by a robust powertrain that unites a 3.5-liter V6 with dual electric motors to make a combined 354 horsepower. All-wheel drive is a standard feature, as is an electronic continuously variable transmission (eCVT) that uses multistage programming to simulate the gear changes of a ten-speed automatic. The EPA has determined its fuel economy to be 22 mpg around town and 29 mpg on the highway.
Standard Equipment
Although the LS 500h emphasizes luxury, Lexus includes features that discerning drivers can certainly appreciate, like a height-adjustable adaptive air suspension, selectable drive modes (sport, custom, and EV), and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. But that’s only the start of an extensive list of standard equipment, which continues with quilt-stitched perforated semi-aniline leather upholstery, a power moonroof, four zones of climate control, heated and cooled front seats with 28-way power controls (plus massage and cushion extender functions), 18-way power rear outboard seats with heat and position memory, semi-aniline leather and premium wood cabin accents, a 24-inch head-up display, a heated leather-wrapped and wood-trimmed steering wheel, and a driver’s memory system.
This exquisite hybrid sedan has many more standard comfort and convenience features, such as remote adjustment for the passenger seats, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, power sunshades for the rear and rear side windows, a hands-free power-opening and closing trunk, LED exterior lighting with adaptive headlights, a digital rearview mirror, active noise cancellation, a windshield de-icer, rain-sensing windshield wipers, headlamp washers, wireless device charging, a number of USB ports, and noise-reducing 20-inch alloy wheels.
Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology
Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 comes installed in the LS 500h, equipping it with pre-collision support with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane tracing assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control, road sign assist, and automatic high beams. A surround-view monitor and Teammate semi-autonomous driving and parking support are also included. Multiple airbags (including rear-seat units), anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, Smart Stop technology (to minimize unintended acceleration), and a rearview monitor are some of the LS 500h’s additional safety-related equipment.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The Lexus LS 500h boasts user-friendly infotainment featuring a large 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 23-speaker Mark Levinson surround-sound system. The supportive technology includes cloud-based navigation, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, Hey Lexus voice commands, a separate 7-inch touchscreen for the rear passengers, and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and the Lexus app.
