The 2023 Lexus NX 350h is a luxurious five-passenger compact hybrid crossover. Beneath its hood is a gas-electric powertrain that consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a pair of electric motors generating a total system output of 240 horsepower. An electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT) feeds power to a standard all-wheel drivetrain. When the NX 350h is properly outfitted, it can tow up to 2,000 pounds. As estimated by the EPA, it achieves an impressive 41 mpg around town and 37 mpg on the highway.
The 2023 NX 350h is packed with the high-end standard features you expect in a Lexus. Its exterior consists of LED headlights and daytime running lights, heated auto-dimming side mirrors with reverse gear tilt-down, roof rails, dark-gray 18-inch wheels, and SmartAccess, which is Lexus’s proprietary proximity entry system. In the cabin, look for push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, simulated-leather upholstery, power-adjustable and heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.
Regarding tech, the NX 350h has a 7-inch digital gauge cluster and the Lexus Interface infotainment system with a 9.8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, voice recognition, an elite 10-speaker audio system, and Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming. The Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of advanced driving aids is standard in the 2023 NX 350h. It contains a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection and intersection support, all-speed dynamic radar cruise control with curve speed management, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, which is separate from Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, is also standard.
Two signature upgrade packages – Premium and Luxury – are available for the ’23 NX 350h. The Premium Package bundles heated and ventilated front seats, position memory settings (for the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and side mirrors), Black Prism interior trim, a moonroof, a power liftgate, rain-sensing wipers, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, and active parking assist with automatic emergency braking. The Luxury Package has the contents of the Premium Package along with silver 20-inch wheels, a perforated leather-trimmed interior with chevron-patterned seat quilting, extra power lumbar adjustments for the driver’s seat, a 10-inch head-up display, Lexus Interface with a 14-inch touchscreen and a 3-year trial to Driver Connect (includes Cloud Navigation, the Intelligent Assistant in-car concierge, and Destination Assist), door courtesy lamps, black open-pore wood interior trim, adjustable mood lighting, and an adaptive front lighting system.
Several of those upscale features are available individually, too. These a la carte upgrades include premium triple-beam LED headlights, a panoramic glass roof, Digital Key, a premium 17-speaker sound system by Mark Levinson, a panoramic view monitor, lane change assist, forward cross-traffic alert, power-folding and heated rear seats, a windshield wiper de-icer, a fast-response interior heater, a heated steering wheel, and a digital rearview mirror.
