TLexus offers the LC 500h in a single trim that’s powered by a gas-electric hybrid system with a 3.5-liter V6 engine, dual electric motors, and a lithium-ion battery. The combined output of 354 horsepower and 398 lb.-ft. of torque is delivered through the rear wheels and controlled by a unique gearbox that brings together a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and a four-speed automatic transmission. The drivetrain offers considerable performance with a 0-to-60 mph time of 4.7 seconds. Its EPA-estimated fuel economy is 26 mpg around town and 34 mpg on the open road.
The LC 500h presents a comprehensive set of standard equipment, with exterior and performance features like a glass panel roof, an adaptive suspension, selectable drive modes, LED exterior lighting with triple-beam LED headlamps, proximity keyless entry, and 21-inch forged-alloy wheels. The cabin comes with Toasted Caramel or black leather upholstery (Circuit Red leather is an option), eight-way power front seats that are heated and ventilated, a driver’s memory system, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, and performance instrumentation.
Numerous optional groupings are available, including the Sport Package with sport seats with Alcantara-trimmed inserts and parking assist (described below). The Touring Package will add semi-aniline leather-trimmed front seats, an Alcantara-trimmed headliner, a heated leather-trimmed steering wheel, a windshield wiper de-icer, parking assist technology, and infotainment upgrades (described below). The Dynamic Handling Package includes the cabin upgrades from the Touring Package, plus active rear steering, variable gear-ratio steering, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a Torsen limited-slip rear differential, performance brake pads, a carbon-fiber roof, carbon-fiber door scuff plates, and parking support. Lexus also offers the Bespoke Build program that lets clients personalize the LC 500h to their specifications.
The LC 500 has the Lexus Safety System+ installed, equipping it with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. The Sport or Touring Package adds front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking. Additional safety equipment includes a comprehensive airbag system, anti-lock brakes (ABS), vehicle stability control with traction control, and a backup camera with dynamic gridlines.
