2021 Lexus ES for Sale in West Springfield, MA
The 2021 Lexus ES is a sleek sedan with impressive ride quality, a faultlessly upscale demeanor, and an approachable price tag for the amount of luxury it provides. As a luxury vehicle through-and-through, it leaves nothing to be desired. Plus, it’s versatile, as there are three powertrain options available, ranging from fuel efficient to downright potent. For the 2021 model year, Lexus has added the ES250, which is differentiated by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive. There’s also a Black Line Special Edition trim that’s based on the F Sport model. It gets black exterior trim, a black lip spoiler, a white interior, and an interesting bonus: a matching, two-piece Zero Halliburton luggage set. Also, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is now standard on the Luxury, Ultra Luxury, and F Sport.
Under the Hood
The 2021 Lexus ES is available in quite a few iterations: the ES 250, ES 350, ES 250 Luxury, ES 350 Luxury, ES 250 Ultra Luxury, ES 350 Ultra Luxury, ES 250 F Sport, ES 350 F Sport, and ES 350 F Sport Black Line Special Edition. (There are also three hybrid versions: the ES 300h, ES 300h Luxury, and ES 300h Ultra Luxury – which we’ll discuss in detail on another page.) The debuting ES 250 trims are all-wheel drive and they get a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 203 hp and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. The 350 versions have a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 302 hp and 267 lb.-ft. of torque, but instead of AWD, they’re front-wheel drive. The ES 250s and 350s all have an eight-speed automatic transmission.
According to EPA estimates, the ES 250 models achieve 25 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. The ES 350s, on the other hand, return 22 city/32 highway, but as F Sports, they retain the 22 mpg city but dip ever so slightly to 31 mpg highway.
Based ES Models
The base ES trims are appointed with LED headlights, a sunroof, 17-inch wheels, keyless entry with push-button ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, simulated-leather upholstery, and a rearview camera. The base models are also eligible for the Premium Package, which delivers heated and ventilated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, the Lexus Memory System, and a power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel. The available standalone options consist of a power trunk with a kick sensor, a color-keyed rear spoiler, triple-beam LED headlights, 18-inch wheels, wood interior trim, a wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel, a windshield wiper de-icer, a fast-response cabin heater, and a power rear sunshade. Unlike the ES 250, the ES 350 is eligible for a panoramic glass roof.
On the technology front, these trims get an infotainment system with voice recognition, an 8-inch touchscreen, both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth smartphone hands-free function, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and a premium 10-speaker audio system. The optional Navigation Package supplies a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with integrated navigation, and the Navigation/Mark Levinson Premium Audio Package delivers the contents of the Navigation Package and a premium 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system. Standalone options include a 10.2-inch head-up display, a wireless charger, and the Mark Levinson audio system a la carte (for those who don’t need navigation). Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and intuitive parking assist with automatic braking are also offered.
Luxury and Ultra Luxury ES Models
The ES Luxury grades add the features from the Premium Package, in addition to the 18-inch wheels, wood interior trim, and power rear sunshade that were optional on the base ES models. Additional power adjustments for the driver’s seat and a cushion extender are also included, as is perforated-leather interior trim. The heated steering wheel, windshield wiper de-icer, fast-response heater, and power trunk with kick sensor remain optional. As the ES 350 Luxury is eligible for the panoramic glass roof. The standard and optional technologies reflect what’s provided in the base ES models. As far as active safety technology, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and intuitive parking assist with automatic braking are standard, while rear pedestrian detection and a surround-view monitor are optional.
The Ultra Luxury models get the power trunk with kick sensor, the heated steering wheel, the windshield wiper de-icer, and the fast-response heater. They also come with upgraded leather upholstery and a power rear sunshade with manual rear-door sunshades. This trim’s standard and optional technologies reflect those of the Luxury trims, although they get the 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and navigation system as standard. The Ultra Luxury models also provide blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, intuitive parking assist with automatic braking, and rear pedestrian detection and a surround-view monitor.
ES F Sport Models
The F Sport versions are similar to the Luxury models where amenities are concerned, except that they don’t come with wood cabin trim and they get 19-inch wheels, F Sport exterior styling, and F Sport heated and ventilated front seats with bolsters. An F Sport perforated simulated-leather trimmed steering wheel, a windshield wiper de-icer, and a fast-response interior heater are available. The ES 350 F Sport Black Line Special Edition receives the same equipment, but it also gets the unique styling elements outlined in the intro. All F Sports come with the same technology and driver-assist features as the Luxury, but they aren’t eligible for rear pedestrian detection or the surround-view monitor.
Safety and Technology
No matter which version of the 2021 Lexus ES you choose, it will have the Lexus Safety System+ suite of active driver aids. This consists of a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane tracing assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, road sign assist, all-speed dynamic radar cruise control, and intelligent high beams.
