The 2024 Lexus TX 350 fits up to seven passengers and is offered in three trims: Base, Premium, and Luxury. Under the hood of each, you’ll find a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine producing 275 hp; it’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters are standard. While front-wheel drive is standard, any trim can be optioned with all-wheel drive.
The EPA rates the new TX favorably in terms of fuel efficiency, with FWD models achieving an estimated 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, and AWD versions returning 20 city/26 highway. When the TX is properly equipped, it can tow up to 5,000 pounds regardless of the trim level.
The TX Base includes a bevy of high-end features, such as proximity keyless entry, LED headlights and fog lights, power-folding heated side mirrors with reverse gear tilt-down and driver’s side auto-dimming, rain-sensing wipers, roof rails, and a hands-free liftgate. On the inside, you’ll find push-button start, ambient interior lighting, multi-zone climate control, a leather-wrapped power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel with paddle shifters, a leather-wrapped shift knob, a 7-inch multi-information display, a wireless phone charger, and rear sunshades. This entry-level trim’s seats are upholstered in easy-care simulated leather, and in the front row, they’re also heated and power adjustable.
The Premium adds ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof, position memory (for the side mirrors, driver’s seat, and steering wheel), and a power-folding 50/50-split third-row seatback. The Luxury lives up to its name with semi-aniline leather upholstery, expanded ambient interior lighting, auto-leveling headlights that include built-in washers, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and heated outboard second-row seats.
The 2024 Lexus TX is outfitted with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite, providing a comprehensive set of advanced driving aids. These include a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection and intersection support, all-speed dynamic radar cruise control with curve speed management, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, and automatic high beams. Aside from those premium safety features, all trims get a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and digital latch with safe exit assist, while the Premium and Luxury add intuitive parking assist with automatic emergency braking.
You won’t have to pay extra for a sophisticated infotainment experience with the TX, since every trim comes with a 14-inch touchscreen system. Its standard features are voice recognition, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Audiophiles who order the Premium or Luxury can elect to upgrade to a premium 21-speaker Mark Levinson sound system. All buyers get a three-year trial to the convenient Drive Connect service, which bundles Cloud Navigation, Intelligent Assistant, and Destination Assist.
Lexus offers three main optional equipment bundles for the TX. The Cold Area Package is available for all trims and includes a windshield wiper de-icer and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Technology Package, reserved for the Premium and Luxury grades, contains a 12.3-inch multi-information display, a panoramic view monitor, and Advanced Park, the proprietary automatic parking feature. This package also has two items that are exclusive to the Luxury: a digital rearview mirror and a head-up display.
The Convenience Package, also for the Premium and Luxury only, consists of Digital Key, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist. As far as standalone options, the Base can be ordered with Digital Key, while the Premium and Luxury are eligible for heated and ventilated second-row captain’s chairs, which will reduce seating from seven to six.
