Trims and Powertrain

For the 2024 model year, Lexus offers the LX in five trims: Base, Premium, F Sport Handling, Luxury, and Ultra Luxury. At the heart of each LX lies a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 engine, which puts out 409 horsepower. Lexus’s advanced four-wheel drive system is standard across the entire LX range. The automatic transmission’s ten speeds smooth out shifting and maximize both acceleration and fuel economy. When it’s properly equipped, the LX boasts a towing capacity of up to 8,000 pounds. The LX offers respectable fuel efficiency in this segment, with the official EPA estimates showing 17 mpg in city driving and 22 mpg on the highway.

Standard Equipment

The Base LX starts with a long list of standard equipment, such as leather-trimmed seating for five, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a power liftgate, a power moonroof, and 20-inch alloy wheels. It also has triple-beam LED headlights with washers, a multi-terrain monitor, an 8-inch driver information display, a windshield wiper de-icer, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, four USB ports, and wireless device charging. The Premium is configured with a third row for seven-passenger seating. It also ramps up the comfort factor with an adaptive variable suspension, semi-aniline leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row outboard seats, a head-up display, power-folding third-row seats, a hands-free power liftgate, ambient cabin lighting, and two additional USB ports. The F Sport Handling trim gets more athletic with a tuned suspension, a limited-slip differential, performance dampers, a rear stabilizer bar, a cooling box, trim-specific interior and exterior treatments, and 22-inch forged wheels.

The LX Luxury also gets semi-aniline leather upholstery but adds exquisiteness with heated and ventilated second-row outboard seats, one-touch power-folding seats, automatic door closers, rear-seat manual sunshades, a cooler box for food and drink, an upgraded sound system (detailed below), and 22-inch wheels. The four-passenger Ultra Luxury trim takes things even further with active height control, second-row captain’s chairs (with massage and recline functions), a power right-rear ottoman, diamond-stitched seats with embossed headrests, a digital rearview mirror, a rear-center armrest and table, a rear-seat wireless charger, and four USB ports.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 comes standard in every 2024 LX. This grouping of active safety features includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-tracing assist (for improved vehicle centering), lane departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and road sign assist. Blind-spot monitoring, Intuitive Parking Assist (with rear cross-traffic alert and automatic braking), and a surround-view monitor are also included. Every trim also has a full complement of airbags along with anti-lock brakes, traction control, stability control, hill-start assist control, and trailer sway control.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Look for a 12.3-inch touchscreen for managing the ’24 LX’s infotainment system. Those features consist of cloud-based navigation, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Bluetooth. All trims also have access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and Lexus connected services (for emergency help, destination assistance, vehicle monitoring, and remote functions). A ten-speaker audio system is the default, but the Luxury and Ultra Luxury move up to a Mark Levinson 25-speaker arrangement. The Ultra Luxury also gets a rear-seat entertainment system with dual 11.4-inch screens.
