The 2024 ES lineup contains nine trim choices: 250 AWD, 250 Luxury AWD, 250 Ultra Luxury AWD, 250 F Sport Design AWD, 350, 350 Luxury, 350 Ultra Luxury, 350 F Sport Design, and 350 F Sport Handling. The 250s have a 203-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder motor and standard all-wheel drive. The 350s move up to a 302-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 and are made only with front-wheel drive. Both engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The ES 250 has an official EPA-determined fuel economy rating of 25 mpg city/34 mpg highway, while the 350 version achieves 22 city/32 highway.
The 250 AWD and 350 have similar equipment, including simulated leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, 10-way power-adjustable front seats, proximity keyless entry, a leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel, a moonroof, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, LED headlights, and 17-inch twin-V-spoke Dark Metallic machined alloy wheels. The optional Premium Package adds power-folding outside mirrors, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, position memory for the steering wheel and driver’s seat, rain-sensing windshield wipers, wireless device charging, and added safety equipment (detailed below).
The Luxury trims include heated and ventilated front seats, quilted and semi-aniline leather upholstery, a 14-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, interior wood trim, a power rear-window sunshade, ambient cabin lighting, a heated wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel, a faster-responding interior heater, and 18-inch split-10-spoke two-tone black machined-finished alloy wheels. The Ultra Luxury trims also get a hands-free power trunk lid, manual rear side-window sunshades, and 18-inch split-five-spoke Vapor Chrome alloy wheels.
The F Sport adds contoured front seats, a trim-specific steering wheel, the equipment from the Premium Package, and 19-inch split-five-spoke gloss-black alloy wheels with black lug nuts.
The Safety System+ 2.5 suite of driver-assist technologies is installed in every ES. Those features are forward automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, cyclist detection, a rearview camera, lane departure warning, traffic-sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, automatic high-beams, and blind-spot monitoring. The Premium Package (described above) adds rear cross-traffic alert and front and rear parking sensors. There’s an optional head-up display that’s available via the Technology Package.
The Lexus ES comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Its components consist of wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, Bluetooth, HD Radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, voice recognition, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a ten-speaker stereo system. There are upgrades to the Ultra Luxury: a 12.3-inch touchscreen display and a three-year trial of Drive Connect, which includes Destination Assist, Intelligent Assist, and cloud navigation.
