The NX 450h+ comes in two versions: the Base (with an extensive array of standard equipment) and F Sport. Both trims have a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas-electric hybrid powertrain that produces 302 horsepower. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) and standard all-wheel drive complete the mechanical big picture. With the optional towing package, it can pull up to 2,000 pounds. According to the EPA’s official determination, the 2023 NX PHEV supplies up to 37 miles of electric-only range and a combined fuel economy rating of 36 mpg. When it’s fully charged and fueled, the NX 450h+ has a 550-mile total range capability.
Starting with the outside, the 2023 Lexus NX 450h+’s highlighted features are LED exterior lighting, a power tailgate with hands-free access, proximity keyless entry, heated power side mirrors with auto-dimming (driver’s side) and auto tilt-down in reverse functions, roof rails, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and 20-inch alloys wheels. Its interior amenities include perforated leather-trimmed upholstery with chevron quilting, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, a ten-way power driver’s seat with lumbar controls, an eight-way power front passenger seat, a driver’s memory system, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, a leather-wrapped steering wheel (with heat) and shift knob, a head-up display, push-button start, a power moonroof, a 7-inch driver information display, open-pore wood accents, and ambient cabin lighting. The F Sport gets some upgrades: an adaptive sport-tuned suspension, unique exterior treatments, and sport front seats with additional bolstering.

These advanced driver aids incorporate a pre-collision system (with pedestrian detection and intersection support), lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, parking assist with automatic braking, safe exit assist, automatic high beams, and road sign assist. The standard 14-inch multimedia touchscreen sits prominently in the dashboard’s center and is the gateway to the infotainment system for the NX 450h+. It controls the wireless smartphone integration (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, voice command, cloud navigation, and USB connectivity. Both trims also get a premium sound system with ten speakers, access to the Lexus smartphone app (for remote start and vehicle monitoring), a Wi-Fi hotspot, and Lexus connected services (for emergency and service support). The optional digital key adds card key access and wireless device charging.
