2022 Lexus UX Hybrid
Trims and Performance
The 2022 Lexus UX 250h is an all-wheel drive five-passenger compact crossover that’s available in Base, F Sport, and Luxury trim levels. Three feature-rich packages are available for the Base and F Sport, which we’ll cover in more detail farther down the page. The hybrid powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor working with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT). Together, those power sources produce a total system output of 181 hp and return an EPA-estimated 41 mpg in city driving and 38 mpg on the highway.
Standard and Optional Features
The base trim comes with LED headlights, heated side mirrors, rooftop rails, keyless entry, push-button start/stop, two-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a 7-inch multi-information display, four USB ports, a 60/40-split folding rear seatback, and a folding cargo tonneau cover. The F Sport adds some more athletic attributes such as a sport-tuned suspension, color-keyed overfenders (these are optional on the base trim), a unique grille, exclusive front and rear bumpers and badges, LED fog lights, sport-bolstered front seats, a perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel (and shift knob) with paddle shifters, aluminum pedals and front door-sill scuff plates, performance instrumentation with a sliding bezel, active noise control, and an 8-inch multi-information display.
The Luxury leans away from the F Sport-specific highlights while adding convenient luxury features such as a hands-free liftgate, a moonroof (which is available for the other trims), rain-sensing windshield wipers, LED-illuminated air-vent knobs, acoustic front side glass, position memory for the side mirrors and driver’s seat, and heated and ventilated front seats. A windshield wiper de-icer, a head-up display, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a HomeLink universal garage door opener, a heated steering wheel, and a wireless phone charger are available for all trims. Also, triple-beam LED headlights are offered for the base and Luxury.
Lexus offers three packages for the 2022 UX 250h: Premium, Premium F Sport, and Luxury. The basic Premium Package for the base trim provides color-keyed overfenders, upscale Washi interior trim, rain-sensing wipers, a moonroof, and heated and ventilated front seats. The Premium Package for the F Sport supplies all of that, minus the Washi interior trim and color-keyed overfenders. The Luxury Package (also for the F Sport) issues position memory for the side mirrors and driver’s seat, a hands-free liftgate, heated and ventilated front seats, and power-folding side mirrors with reverse-gear tilt-down and driver’s side auto-dimming.
Advanced Safety, Technology and Optional Packages
Every trim has the Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 suite of advanced driver aids, which bundles a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane tracing assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, all-speed dynamic radar cruise control, and intelligent high beams. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard across the range as well, while intuitive parking assist with automatic emergency braking is optional.
All trims also get the Lexus Multimedia System with a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, voice recognition, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a six-speaker audio system. Each grade qualifies for an available 10.3-inch touchscreen with integrated navigation, enhanced voice recognition, and a first-rate eight-speaker sound system.
